Just because we don't meet doesn't mean we can't rock.

Lal's brain must be exploding

Holy crap, Lal. Lollapalooza, July 23, 24 in Chicago, will have Death Cab, Blonde Redhead, AND The Arcade Fire, plus many, many more bands I've both heard of (Pixies, my goddess Liz Phair, Billy Idol) and have not heard of (G. Love and Special Sauce).

You going?

Music Club Notes

I just wanted to mention that I'll be bringing my laptop to Music Club this Friday night. If anyone wants to bring blank CDs or iPods or anything like that, you will be able to create a copy of the best music of the evening.

I can't wait for Friday, y'all! It's been too long!

Rock Snobs

Hey guys. It's been a long time, but I've been in a bit of a music funk lately. I bought five CDs over the last week, so I'm feeling a lot more funkified.

Running through my favourite blogs this morning and found this link at Gawker.com. It's called Snobsite.com and is the online home of an upcoming book entitled The Rock Snob*s Dictionary. Check it out if you've ever wondered what "coruscating" meant.

Just when you thought it was safe to book tickets to a show..along comes another great performance from an awesome band/performer.

Bright Eyes is also coming on the 18th of May. So take your pick..Bright Eyes, Snow Patrol or Deerhoof. Oh ya, I forgot--Deerhoof is sold out. Don't worry friends..I got my tickets.

Enough with the group, what about me?

Howdy,
Well just in case anybody is still reading this I wanted to let you know I have decided to start my own blog.
I figure it will give me a place to vent my opinions about stuff (be it Canada Post, the TTC, the NHL strike, whatever) and it will also give me a chance to let my friends back in Scotland and around the world know what I am up to and what I am listening to with out going through the hassle of e-mailing them all the time.
Judging by the success of this blog, nobody will ever read it but I'm thinking I need a place to vent and I've been feeling I need a creative outlet recentley.
Ok,
Let there be spring.
Alan
